In 2025, I released Neck and Neck, a book of photographs made both digitally and on film. The title reflects the book’s central conceit: widely different images are placed side by side, inviting viewers to equalize them. In an era where images are most often encountered through a feed—read one after another in a continuous scroll—Neck and Neck reclaims the structure of the book as a deliberate counterpoint. Its purpose is to use that structure to encourage readers to consider each image as running “neck and neck” with the next.
Neck and Neck is available at the following locations:
Quimby’s (Chicago)
Challengers (Chicago)
Grimey’s (Nashville)
