Robert Salazar is a Chicago-based director, filmmaker, and artist. He is the co-founder of the creative agency Bob. where he has produced commercial and cultural work for arts organizations including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Driehaus Museum, Artsy, Jane Addams Hull House Museum and EXPO Chicago.

Salazar directs music videos under both his name and the stage name Bobby Butterscotch. In 2025, Salazar was honored by the Chicago Latino Film Festival with a survey screening of his music videos. These works have been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Pitchfork, Paste, Chicago Tribune, Spin, and Rolling Stone.
