Robert Salazar, also known as Bobby Butterscotch, is a Chicago-based director, filmmaker, and artist. He is the co-founder of the creative agency Bob. where he has produced commercial and cultural work for arts organizations locally and internationally including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Driehaus Museum, and EXPO.
Alongside this work, he has become a go-to director + editor of music videos. In 2025, Salazar was honored by the Chicago Latino Film Festival with a survey screening of his music videos. These works have been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Pitchfork, Paste, Chicago Tribune, Spin, and Rolling Stone.
